Credentials

Certified Specialists

A1’s certified technician is Michael J. McGilton. In August 2016 A1 sent him to Recon Techs, Inc. in San Diego, California, for a week of advanced training, and he came back with three certifications — all dated 24 August 2016.

  • Recon Techs Advanced Automotive Detailing Course — certified Professional Automotive Detailer
  • Recon Techs Advanced Paint Correction Course — certified Professional Paint Correction Specialist
  • FlightShield Automotive and Marine, Advanced Applications and Business Training — Certified and Authorized Applicator

During the course he worked on a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali: prep wash, exterior surface decontamination, a light paint correction, and a Sapphire v1 ceramic coating by FlightShield. The photographs below are from that week.
